The Lewiston Urban Renewal Agency is currently in the design phase of reconstructing First and Fifth Streets in Downtown Lewiston. Work will include reconstructing roadways, portions of the sidewalks, public art, and full streetscape (trees, planters, street furniture, and other pedestrian amenities). This website will be updated regularly with recent drawings and exhibits, surveys, meeting notifications and project schedule.
A groundbreaking ceremony kicked off the beginning of construction today as work begins on the first two phases. Thanks, everyone, for attending the event and supporting the work to make downtown a more beautiful, vibrant place to live, work and have fun!
